I heard that Biological Engineering major has courses that are very closely related to Premed requirements. Is this true ? Does premed requisites overlap the courses for Biomedical Engineering ? Is it a good idea(is it much easier than other majors) to major in BME while doing premed ? I am planning on going to Medical school and would like to have BME as my backup.

Honestly chemical engineering has just as much overlap as BME. Since a lot of BME programs don’t require o-chem while in chemE you take both g-chem and o-chem.

Remember that engineering programs are a GPA killer. You are much better off majoring in something easier like economics and take the pre-med pre-reqs. Even though the pre-reqs don’t overlap it is much easier to go through that path than major in engineering.
