<p>They are lucky if they get a job at all. Most PhD’s now a days end up in post doc’s so you are talking 35 to 50k possibly with benefits, though considering the hours they are expected to work in some labs you are approaching min wage.</p>
<p>MS’s often end up in techie jobs which can be as low as $15 per hour so 30k and even less in academia.</p>
