Biophysics at Penn

how is the biophysics program at penn..as in is it an over or underrepresented major? i am planning to indicate that as my intended major.

-thanks!

probably pretty f**kin hard

A few of my friends are biophysics majors. There are definitely not that many of them, probably less than 15 a year. It is a great program though and there are a ton of great research opportunities though the physics department or in other departments like engineering, chemistry, or at the hospital. It is a very rigorous major, it has the most major requirements of any major in the college I think, including the orgo and junior electromagnetism sequence for physics majors. However graduates are very successful. I know one doing a PhD at Harvard, one at Stanford, one who will be doing an MD PhD at Harvard, and two going to Hopkins for med school among others.

thanks for the info poeme :]
