<p>We will be in T-town for the Honors BB in July. My youngest D will be turning 14 on the 8th and we promised her a great day honoring her, since the next few days will be all about her sister. What kind of fun things can we do with her. I was hoping to do a sightseeing cruise on the river, but they don’t go on the 8th. Any ideas would be appreciated.</p>

<p>She is a typical teenager, not into museums etc. Sent an e-mail to a marina to see the cost of renting a platoon boat. Might just end up going to see a movie/lunch and a nice dinner or something like that. How is Tuscaloosa Lake? We are coming from AZ, so have no clue about the area at all.</p>

<p>and son’s group went tubing last fall which he said was a blast; he’s not here, not that he’d probably remember the details but I do know where they went had to be fairly close. I found this on-line and although this has a 2011 notation I did see a “facebook” post about being off and running for the season 2012. </p>

<p>I took my D to the Cypress Inn Restaurant for lunch and dinner on 2 different occasions. It is near campus and overlooks the Black Warrior River. Highly recommend!</p>
<p>If you go, the peanut butter pie is to die for! Put a candle in it for the birthday girl. The waiters and waitresses there are so sweet. I love their southern drawl. I can’t get enough of the “yes, ma’am”.</p>

<p>Lake Tuscaloosa is beautiful. My dad lived in Samantha on Lake Tuscaloosa and I always enjoyed boating on the lake on the weekends. I hope your daughter has a wonderful time!:)</p>
