<p>Don't take on $100K of debt. On the other hand, it's possible that there's some sort of error in the way that Yale has calculated your aid package. If you call them and explain the situation in english instead of on a form, you'll probably see some more money.</p>

<p>If you can get into Yale EA, there are plenty of good schools that will take you RD and give you substantial aid (WashU in particular gives a lot)</p>

<p>yale is good but I know that going to a solid state school without much debt is possibly better.</p>

<p>Once again thanks for all the advice. My dad is giving me 20k per year and will cosign 15k in loans. If I get the rest in scholarships this may be within reach.</p>

<p>If you are planning to go to Law or medical school, a $100K debt is nothing. Otherwise, look for other schools.</p>

<p>Apply to H/P. If you get in and get a good finaid package, you can do some serious bargaining.</p>

<p>I am planning to go to Med school and hopefully become a surgeon.</p>
