Blair Academy Chances

I received a package, I don’t think they put it online this year.

Oh, I also received an email with a link to a video with the student and faculty saying congratulations.

If applicants have not received any instructions from Blair on the details of how they will notify you (an email link, for example), then perhaps you may wish to call the school. Because March 10 falls on a Sunday this year, it may be possible that admissions is answering phones today. Depending on what email you put down on your application, the school may be sending an email to the applicant or the parents.

SamHam, if you haven’t already, you can ask to meet with the football, basketball and crew coaches during your revisit. I’m sure they’d be glad to talk with you.

I believe Mr. Danhof is in charge of the debate team and would be a good one to talk to. From Blair’s website:

<<blair’s debate="" club="" meets="" on="" a="" bi-weekly="" basis="" with="" the="" aim="" of="" furthering="" members’="" writing,="" arguing="" and="" public="" speaking="" skills,="" as="" well="" their="" knowledge="" current="" events.="">> </blair’s>

In addition to the debate team, Blair offers many, many opportunities in public speaking and is very strong in this area.

Also, check your spam filter. SamHam’s email with a link to the application decision is how it worked for us. If you didn’t receive notification on the email link, then it’s time to call the school.

All the schools want to be helpful - we had to make a couple of calls to the schools when we went through this. Spam filters, uncertainty on which email address was being used, plus our own jitters made it a trying time, and we sure didn’t want to wait for snail mail.

Thank you 24daffodils
