Thanks!!!

In the past week, you've posted over 20 chance threads. A little excessive, don't you think?

I dont think that you posting "Blind 11 year old applying to Harvard" is NOT FUNNY at all! Why would you even think of doing that??? I agree with walt99 about your binge on chance threads....

You must be getting really stressed out. Your last ten posts are all "Chance me"s. Chill out, xirtan.

I'm not going to chance you, because I know a blind person, and kidding about it is offensive.

To be honest, I don't think you have much of a chance. Your rank doesn't even put you in the top 10%. =/ Your GPA isn't impressive since mostly everyone has at least a 3.75 and I'd say at least a 30 on the ACT would be a lot better than a 28...

hey i'm really sorry!!! that title was overboard, really sorry! i didn't mean to offend anyone at all! please don't be mad!
sorry again!!!!

no you wont get in, u suck.....period

i think thats a little harsh lol but i say you have a teeny weeny chance

oh no! my title was deceiving-and offensive. i'm not really applying to harvard! just to the listed LACs near the bottom of my post!
sorry again about that title :-/

LOL @ "teeny weeny chance". I think you have better than that!

ur right..i guess i let my anger get the better of me....im sorry.... :(

Yeah, your title isn't a good one. =/ I don't know much about those other schools...but you definitely don't have a shot at Harvard. ^_^

"really good essay all done"

Why does EVERYONE say this? I doubt that everyone who says this actually has a good essay. It is so weird. Also, I don't understand why everyone insists that their gpa's will rise. If EVERYONE thinks that, everyone tries harder, and no GPA's go up (or maybe minimally when some try harder than others).

/rant.

I won't say "reject," because I don't know and clearly I am not the adcom, but, for convenience, I will say "maybe" or "probably."

Bates: maybe
Holy Cross: no clue
Trinity(CT): maybe; however, the indian thing will help you here. My bro got in and it probably helped because his GPA was around a 90 and SATs around mid 600's for each section. Trinity is frighteningly homogeneous, so they really want diverse students.
UMASS Amherst (EA): reaaallly maybe
Northeastern (EA): no clue
Brandeis: maybe
Fordham (EA): maybe
Rens. Polytechnic Institute (7 yr accel. med program): probably
Drew (EA): probably

Trinity isn't FRIGHTENINGLY homogeneous. Our diversity is just suffering because of The Achievement Gap. As an African-American student, believe me, the issue has been recognized, but it is not debilitating or detrimental to student relations in any way.

I'd say the only schools that you'll definitely get into are: UMass Amherst, Drew and Fordham. If you really like Bates and Holy Cross, keep up your correspondence with them, and put a lot of effort into their applications.

You have great credentials, though I'm not sure your race will help you too much. Is Affirmative Action really geared towards Asians?

Either way, I wish you all the luck in the world with your applications. It's great that you have such a definitive list this early. I wasn't done until December 31st, 24 minutes before my first application was due.

BantamBoy-
How do you like trinity so far? how are the academics and social life? i was a little scared by the surrounding area, but loved the campus...and the girls! it's like a model school haha.
