Blue Book Test #2 Accurate??

Thanks for taking the time to read this! I just took the Blue Book test #2 and saw a huge jump in my scores. My last practice test I scored like 570 on math and on this test, I just scored 650! I’ve been practicing math for weeks and this is my first time breaking 600 so I just want to make sure if I should expect similar results in TWO DAYS (in-school SAT) or if test #2 is just easier than the rest. I just don’t want to get my hopes up and have them ruined.
BTW my other sections are MUCH better (700s for writing and late 600s for reading).
Thanks again for your time ^•^

All of the tests in Blue Book are accurate, they were penned by Collegeboard. Of course, the problems are always going to be different, so it could just be that you were better at the problems presented in the second test (i.e. a fluke). That being said, if you have been practicing for the last few weeks, 570 to 650 sounds very reasonable, and I wouldn’t doubt yourself. Congrats!

The first three tests in the Blue Book are actual SAT tests and score scales are accurate. The remaining seven tests were never administered as a real SAT and that is why they have a score range. I would say your score on Test#2 is an accurate reflection of where you stand. If you have the official SAT guide with the DVD, the 11th test on the DVD is also an actual test with an accurate scale.

Thank you both for answering! This helped calm my nerves a bit (:

@leronymous‌ @SATQuantum‌ Thank you both again. I got my results and you were right! I got a 660 on math  However, my other sections went down, so I prob shouldn’t have focused solely on math

Your other scores going down are attributed, in whole or in part, to the new conversion tables. The blue book’s conversion tables no longer match those used by the CB today.
Congrats on the Math jump! Plug away at the strategies and get savvy with selecting questions to omit. Good luck.

Each test obviously differs from the others, and some math sections will be easier than the rest, or harder.

Just wanted to put this out there, the first 3 tests in the blue book were actual previous tests. the rest are made separately by college board

Yes! It is accurate. In fact, this test was administered in 2007/6
