Hello. I am a current undergraduate considering Case and I was wondering how BME students though the major was? Also, is there a good amount of biology and physiology in the major? Or does it lean heavily on engineering? Thanks!
There is a full year of anatomy and physiology in the major. Then there are challenging courses in signals and systems, biomaterials, modeling, and instrumentation(sorta). Then there is a bme capstone experience which contains some hands on work. I would argue it leans less on engineering then a degree in mechanical engineering or electrical. There is concern over the lack of design work in the curriculum if you are going to industry or interested in hands on design work. If you are trying to avoid engineering you still have to do tons of matlab, just not the design stuff minus capstone.
@marbles321 Thank you!
