It looks like most engineering majors take Chem their first semester of freshman year. I was just wondering how common it is for first semester freshmen to take Biology instead of Chem since all the organic chemistry classes are super early and I'm not a morning person haha. Is that even possible?

I have AP credit for both bio(5) and chem(5)

Look on ACES to see if it is possible.

And yes, most of my premed friends thought that taking the first semester Freshmen orgo is a fantastic idea or regrets not taking it. That class is curved to A-/B+ while other orgo classes are curved to B-/C+.

Is it very uncommon to take molecular bio or genetics and evolution?
i think i read somewhere in the bme handbook that if you have ap credit for bio and chem you should take bio first
that may be outdated though…
