Bmi?

How accurate do you think it is, and what is yours?

It’s pretty inaccurate for athletes, body fat percentage is much better. My BMI is ~22 but that’s definitely an overestimation of my body fat.

18.9. i suppose it’s pretty accurate, though body fat percentage would be a better indicator of overall health.

BMI doesn’t take muscle into account. :confused:
but besides that…
Mine is 19.5 at the moment.

Trying to eat healthier xD
(and not a diet… just not unnecessary amounts of junk food)

BMI = 17 apparently. 5’9" 115

16 or something clothes…I’m soo buff though

I don’t think BMI should be used. It doesn’t take into account all aspects of a person’s build. It seems to add fuel to the eating disorder fire. Too heavy, too light…etc., etc, when really a person is perfectly healthy. Mine is 17.5.

16.7 10char

17.6

I finally outgrew being “the scrawny little guy” a couple years ago.

And yes, I agree that BMIs are a bad way to judge health.

Mine’s higher but I’m an athlete. You also have to separate by sex.

BMI 16.7 ----> 5’6.5 and 105 pounds
I am a cross country runner though…
I don’t know if that changes how accurate it is

21.7

(Approximate).

^^ Well BMI calculators usually overestimate body fat for athletes but that’s because of above average muscle mass. I guess it’s different for cross country runners.
