I recently had an interview with an alumni from one of the colleges I applied to. Towards the end of the interview, I asked if there was anything I could do if I did get wait listed to the school, he informed me that he was on the Board of Advisers for the college and that he was very impressed with me and my qualifications, and that he would put in a strong recommendation for me. I’m just curious if him being on the Board of Advisers has a large impact on my likelihood of acceptance, if anyone knows. Does this almost ensure my acceptance?
He also asked me if I saw the dorms and which kind of dorm I’d like to stay in, and then gave me advice on which one to choose, so I’m hoping that’s a good sign too?
Thanks!
Well first of all it depends on the school. Some schools do not note alumni interviews on applications and some do. He could be true or he could just say that to make you feel better. I don’t really know. It could be a good sign.
