Boarding Schools

What are my chances of being accepted to Deerfield, Choate, Andover, Greenough and Nobles, Groton, and St. Paul’s?
I have a 4.0 unweighted gpa, I am student body president, my academic decathlon team finished 5th in California, I play on the nation’s 72nd best soccer team, I am Caucasian, and I go to a parochial school in Silicon Valley.

My long jump is17’4." Science and history are by far my favorite subjects and I enjoy hands on learning. Are there are other schools that might better fit to my style?

Entering what grade? Do you need financial aid? What are your SSAT scores?

If you are from CA, Noble and Greenough is probably not an option as they are only 5-day boarding.

I applied to boarding schools and got into all of the ones I applied to (St. George’s, Tabor, and Portsmouth Abbey) but I decided against going for my own reasons. The interview is definitely very important as well as the extracurriculars. They want to know what you will bring to the school. I, personally, am competitive sailor so these schools wanted me to sail for them. Make sure you keep connected with the person who interviews you after you apply, ask questions and make sure that you are very interested in the school (that can make all the difference). Andover is very competitive but not impossible. Do not pick the schools based on how they will look for college. You are living there and if you are unhappy it can affect grades and your wellbeing, boarding school is a very intense place!
