Just received my transfer acceptance for MT. yeeehaw!!!

I got on BoCo's waitlist. I so badly want to go there, because its the only school ive applied to with really intense dance classes. ugh i hope i get off the waiting list!

Yessssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got in for BFA Musical Theatre. Can't wait to go.

I Got Into Bfa For Mttt!!! Wooo I Cant Wait To Meet Everyonee!!!!

everyone find me on facebook Raleigh R Bisbee or myspace!!!!

I got in!!! Unfortunately, even with the decent scholarship they are offering, I probably will not be able to swing it. It's even more disappointing to know I got in but may not get to go. This is my dream. Oh well- who knows???

Just got my email :) SO happy!

checked my e-mail this afternoon, and i'm accepted for MT!! Makes for an awesome day:)

S received notice of acceptance today through the website. The acceptance had no scholarship offer. cktsing, was your scholarship amount listed in your acceptance?

Congratulations TAHDad!

My acceptance was through the website also and it did include a scholarship offer. However, I know a friend who got in last year whose acceptance did not include a scholarship offer, but she got an offer in the letter that was sent out. Good luck!

Thanks for the information! We will wait for the mail.....

Ah yeah the money situation is definitely the hardest part about this acceptance! It is soo expensive! :( Plus living in CA, it makes it difficult to come home to visit for holidays because we'll already be paying so much for tuition! Does anyone have any good recommendations as far as loans, grants, scholarships, etc?

No Raleigh, no recommendations but let me know if you come up with something. I'm southern california- maybe we can carpool??? Ha ha
Katie

aahhaha I definitely will!!! and maybe we should just hide in someone's suitcase there and back.. that way we don't even have to pay for gas money! hahahaha. you should message me!! let me know where in socal you are and what not :) CONGRATS by the way!

Does anybody know of people that got in and are going somewhere else? Im on the wait list...

tj....I just want to explain that at many schools, including BOCO, they have accepted more students than slots in the class and so even if a student declines the offer (and some will), that doesn't necessarily mean that someone from the wait list will then get an offer to fill the slot. The schools have already built into their acceptances extra kids in order to yield their desired total class. Schools go to the wait list IF after all the replies come back and they have NOT filled all the slots. They can't 100% predict their yield and they accept a certain number based on prior years to yield a certain number but it is not an exact science. They only go to the wait list if they have not yielded the number they had hoped from the number they put out offers to. But many schools put out offers to more than they hope will attend (there are exceptions like CMU and Otterbein). You likely will not hear of movement on the wait list until after May 1 and it could even be later. Another thing that can happen is what is called "summer melt." A student may put down a deposit on BOCO for example, and intend to enroll, and then come later in May, get off the wait list at another school that he/she prefers and then forfeit their spot at BOCO and in that case, BOCO would utilize the wait list at that later date as the summer continues. I hope this explanation is helpful.

Don't lose faith tj! :)
also... if boco is really your dream like it is mine you should audition again next year.
i am a freshman now at a community college and auditioned for boco as a freshman so i would be able to be a part of the program for four years.. and also didn't want to limit my odds by applying as a sophomore transfer. I'm now repeating my freshman year.. but because boco is my dream.. the extra year is gladly welcomed and accepted! Just keep that all in mind if it doesn't work out for you this year.. there is ALWAYS another opportunity.. you just have to find it ;)

Does anyone know when they will send the actual tangible acceptance packages in the mail?

Also, Soozievt: I tried to send you a PM but you have exceeded your storage space.
