hi! I'm from Turkey and most of my friends are attending/will attend Bogazici University. It's one of the best campuses in Istanbul (and in Turkey). I'll actually go further and call it THE best campus (with an amazing view of the Bosphorus). I've visited it quite a few times since both my parents are its alumni, and it'll give your daughter an amazing learning and living experience. I'm told that the university is top-tier in the world, especially in social studies and that it's not just a local legend. the students are among the best in Turkey (since most of the university's programs accept students with the highest scores in the national university entrance test), so most of her friends will be people taking education seriously.

Istanbul is a unique city by all means too, so I'm sure she'll have great time on and off the campus. I might be biased, since I'm a true Istanbul-lover, and I'm even more involved in city life since I'll be leaving it for 4 years for college (I'll be in Montreal), but well, the only reason I can think of as to why your daughter might not love istanbul so much is the crowd. I'm used to it and I kinda like it too, since the crowd means that most people won't be interested in whatever your daughter is doing, wearing etc. so she'll be free to live however she likes to. =)

hope she loves the experience :)
