When does the book list for the spring '11 semester come out? I want to order some books online before classes start!

They probably won’t release the list for another couple weeks. My guess is that they’ll post the date textbook lists will be available on the Cornell Store’s website on Monday.

my daughter was able to get her book list almost as soon as she signed up for her classes. She already has all her books that she ordered online before she even left for winter break.

See if any of your classes are open on Blackboard yet. I have two classes that I know I won’t switch out of (because they’re requirements) and have the new syllabuses out on Blackboard already (I wouldn’t do what I have to assume USAF’s daughter did and look at old syllabuses to buy all of your books now because you might have a new professor teaching the course who uses a different book or the edition has changed, etc). I hope (and think) the official book lists are out some time next week, as I want to buy as many of my used books on Amazon etc. b/c the Cornell Store is way too pricey on the used stuff.

Actually my D got the booklist online from the cornell bookstore. I think perhaps it was available before and isn’t now. Perhaps it was a glitch in their system. I’m looking at the print out of it right now. Even though it says “course booklist for D’s name” Fall 2010 booklist, all the classes that were listed are her spring 2011 classes.

there was a change made last semester or the one before whereby the bookstore must post the books earlier than what they used too. There was a thread on here about it last semester I think.

Well, my booklist is currently unavailable. Hopefully it is on earlier like you said and if that’s the case, it really should be next week. That said, if you go to the textbook section of the website you can go to the faculty section and see the course history to see what was used in previous semesters. That should give you a good idea.

while booklists by schedule are not currently available online and won’t be until 1/12, you can look your books up by course online.

I guess this is the cornell stores way of trying abide by the rules and still try and get as many sales as possible. Would be so much easier if they just offered books at a reasonable price.

Thanks usafa2011dad for letting us know that the booklist went up!

Sorry one more question -

Is there a limit on how many things we can ship to cornell? I can’t bring extra books from home back to cornell and may need to ship books i buy from the internet to cornell. It’ll be around 8 or so books - is this too many?
