I just finished the book "A Special Education" by Dana Buchman, the clothing designer. It is the story of her daughter and how her daughter's learning differences impacted the family. It is honest and sensitively written. I am not a sappy person but I teared up at the end (I won't give it away!). Her daughter wrote the final chapter. I think she is probably just starting her 2nd year of college at this point. I think it is a realistic portrayal of how learning issues evolve in their impact over time, and how a single family managed them. Of course, they are an affluent family in a city with many resources, and this makes some difference, but learning differences are surely bank-account-blind.

Anyways, a quick and worthwhile read.
