<p>So I just left my job like a week ago b/c I thought I would be in school this summer but things changed for me so I didn't need to anymore...</p>
<p>Any who I have about 2 months of absolutely nothing to do...Any ideas for this late of summer? I will be taking a trip to Canada the last of August but aside from that I'm lost.</p>
<p>Get into an MMORPG</p>
<p>I’m in the same position. I thought I’d be going to Mexico to visit family for the summer before I leave for university. My parents thought it was too dangerous to go, so there’s that. I tried applying to jobs when I found out we weren’t going. Nobody was hiring, and, yeah.</p>
<p>Right now I’m just volunteering a whole bunch. My brother, who’s with the Army in Iraq, got me into learning Arabic. So I’m learning that. Though I’m aware I probably will never be fluent because my motivation is questionable. I at least will learning basic things and curse words though.</p>
<p>MMORPGs waste tons of time and money.</p>
<p>MIT Open CourseWare. I’ve been perusing it during my lunch breaks at work.</p>

<li>Volunteering!</li>
<li>Go to the movies or just rent movies and watch at home</li>
<li>Rent a TV series that you never watched or wanted to watch.</li>
<li>Play an instrument (I started getting back into playing my guitar! I still suck, but it’s so much fun to play)</li>
<li>Look for friends to hang out with (hmmm … a road trip? Maybe a trip to the beach if you live near one)</li>
<li>Go to a music festival or a small concert venue</li>
<li>Ride a bike or play any sport for fun </li>
<li>Keep in shape so you don’t feel like a slob when you go back to school</li>
<li>Reading</li>
<li>Look to see if there is anything happening in your town or locally like a fair or any events.</li>

<p>I have one friend but we aren’t on the same wavelength. I haven’t been able to make many friends in my current situation. I currently attend a mostly commuter university…well the campus is… And I live like 30-45mins away from it…</p>

<p>cmon man, enjoy the summer…ball, lift, chill with friends who you wont see for 8 months, at this point you’re not gonna be doin a meaningful internship or job</p>
<p>It is probably too late to take a summer class, otherwise I would advise that.</p>
<p>MORPGS are evil! Stay away from them at all costs. I played nearly everyone in highschool and it stole my soul. Do outdoor adventures such as hiking, kayaking, camping or learn to play an instrument, do self study in your interests, just do not sit on your ass at home in front of the television or computer.</p>
