Boston College Admission

Hello all!

I am a student who really fell in love with BC. However I am always freaked out that I won’t get in, and am overall pretty nervous. I am a junior this year, and have taken three AP Classes. My senior year I am taking three more. I am the Captain of my Debate Team, Manger of the Varsity Golf Team, and leader of my schools Women’s Volunteer Group. I just applied for Speech Team Captain as well. I have done Pep-Band for three years. I volunteer each week at a nursing home. I am also in Tri-M, and National Art Honor Society.

I plan on Majoring in PoliSci. I recently have volunteered/worked for a congressional political campaign with many hours put in. I also have an internship with the state gov office for the senate, and have been accepted to a confrence for female political leadership in Dallas.

What worries me is that my ACT/GPA may hold me back. I have a 3.7 out of a 4.0, and I am hoping to get at least a 28 on my ACT. (I have put in over 40 hours of studying).

What do you think my chances of being admitted are? Do you have any tips for applying to BC?

hi!

I was admitted EA to the Connell School of Nursing. What I’ve learned throughout my college process is that what major/ school you are applying into really matters a lot.

I would definitely recommend applying early- I do think it helped me a lot. In regards to stats, I had about a 4.7 weighted and 3.95 at the time that I applied. I had a 32 on my ACT superscored, and a 30 Composite. Definitely make sure to write your essays authentically and have them reflect who you are/ what you’re passionate about and how that makes you a good fit for whatever you’re applying into.

Hope this helps at all-- let me know if you have any other questions!

Thank you so so so much!

Yes, agree with vcc2018. My twin sons with the same GPA and ACT score applied EA and are likely to submit their confirmation this weekend. Best of luck!

Thanks for your comment, it gives me hope! I am an identical twin too
