The email thing on the portal goes away every night or changes or something. It means nothing. There are likely NO clues on the portal. Emails will go out today it seems and possibly the first wave will be deferrals but that’s not etched in stone. Good luck everyone!!!

Can someone clarify this “email services” button? If I click on it, says "once you submit this form, email sent to your BC email address will be forwarded to the email account above. It then asks for another password. But no passwords are working. If accepted, do you get another password to activate this section?
@pjknphx I have the same message. I’m hoping this is a good sign, but I’m not getting my hopes up. Last night I was deferred from Notre Dame so I’m stressed. Good luck to you.
I’ve seen the email services option on my portal account since the day I activated it. I wouldn’t read too much into it
I was flat out rejected from ND last night, so I am hoping for some better results with BC. Could anyone tell me what they think my chances are? I have a 33 ACT, 3.89 UW GPA, 4.06 weighted (my school weights AP only). I have been on student congress for all four years and was elected as treasurer this year. I have over 300 hours of community service, and have been on two varsity sports (I will be captain for one this year). I have also been involved in Key Club, NHS, and some other community service clubs. Thanks!
@pbmcdoug I think you have a great chance at BC…which school are you applying to? ND is REALLY REALLY hard to get in these days…and I think for EA they want a 35 unless you have some kind of hook. BC is tough too, but you definitely have a solid chance.
Do you guys think the BC Admissions twitter is going to send out a tweet when they start to send their decisions? I believe that’s what they did last year.
Perspective and patience. Just throwing this out there as a parent of a freshmen who was in your shoes this exact time last yr. I remember him pacing, checking his email about 100 times in a half hour time frame. BC was clearly his first choice. Then he got the email…and was deferred. He was really bummed but at least it wasn’t a rejection. Then waiting another 10 weeks and…rejected. He was pretty upset, but things happen for a reason. Most of you who have similar results are more than capable and equally deserving. He had all the stats and ECs and leadership ,etc. Got accepted to several other outstanding schools.
Fast forward a yr and S is flying home today for winter break from his second choice, Wake Forest. He loves it and has had a great first semester / seamless transition to college. Tons of new friends from all over the world, great profs, awesome school spirit / sports scene, etc. Lots of similarities between the two. I say all this to let you know, either way, you will find your place and have a great future!
To those of you who are admitted, congrats! Way to go.
For those of you who have a different result, take a minute or two to be upset (very normal) and then move on to your other outstanding choices. It really will work out just fine.

I heard Boston college doesn’t send during the school day…I heard it’s after school on purpose.
I haven’t heard anything and their twitter has not been updated. Do all acceptances get realsed at the same time? Or does it vary based off time zone?
Guys, we saw this kind of misinformation quite a bit on the Notre Dame EA thread over the past few days. I’d challenge the two posters who say they were admitted to post copies of their acceptance emails.
I heard that they are released based on status but i could be wrong
last year it says that decisions were being released east to west but who knows if its the same this year
