Is the subject line different between those accepted, deferred, or rejected when email comes out? Does anyone know from last year?
it’s supposed to come out 5:00 right??
I’m literally still shaking, BC has always been a top choice of mine and I hope to stay on a high (because I got into Notre Dame last night). Good luck to all of us, and positive vibes.
@gbraider I dont think there is a specific time.
Hey guys just wanted to give you a heads up. Current BC freshmen who went through this same thing last year. Decisions last year came out on a Thursday at 6 pm. The subject line and email is the same for everheone but they attach a letter which you have to download, which is different based on your decision. Hope thah helps. Apparently they said it comes out east to west but I can’t confirm or deny that
I thought “by December 15th” was only for spring transfers?? My understanding is freshmen admissions for next fall are through mail by December 25th. Can someone please clarify?
@Erestis All EA applicants got an email from BC explaining that decisions will come by email today.
BC sent out an email a few weeks ago saying applications were being reviewed & that we would get our decision via email today.
good luck everyone, especially you ASfire dog 123
Tweet from the admissions office a few minutes ago:
“EA applicants: Decisions will be released via e-mail no earlier than 5:30pm EST tonight. Stay tuned!”
Good luck everyone!
@juliet816 – Unless they take only one from your school each year, you have a great chance getting in. That said, BC is funny with EA. They take a lot of athletes during EA and there could be a chance that someone with your credentials gets deferred, especially if they took a couple from your school for sports. Happened to my D last year, she had comparable stats to yours (a bit higher on the GPA) and was deferred EA probably since they took 2 from her school for sports. Ended up getting in, and they told her she was top 10% of all applicants. That is probably where you are too - so even if you get deferred, don’t fret it, you should ultimately get it there. Legacy Dad probably helps too. Good Luck!
I remember that email now! But then I checked their portal and it still had the 25th date, so I thought I read something wrong. Thank you!
Does anyone know if legacy only helps EA? Does it help RD too??
legacy is considered throughout. still need respectable grades though.
On BC Admissions Twitter it says admissions decisions will be released no earlier than 5:30 pm EST. It was posted a little less than an hour ago.
23 mins… so scared…
Do we know if emails come out at exactly 5:30?
keeps refreshing to see if anyone got an email
^probably not, I hope they don’t send out deferrals first like they did last year
AHHHH so it’s at 6pm EST? I thought it was going to be 7pm
