Waitlisted! Anyone know what the odds are / how many are usually waitlisted?
Hey guys! I got waitlisted too! Anyone have any advice? I got waitlisted last year too and I was hoping i could show the admissions office that I remain as interested as I was when I was a freshman. I sent appeals last year, but still ended up getting rejected, does that mean I shouldn’t do that again?
waitlisted as well. Were there any ppl off list in previous years?
I don’t think I am going to attend so hopefully that opens a spot for one of you
If people aren’t accepting their spots, please let us know it would be very helpful!!
As I am an international student, my final exams won’t come out until early July. What should I do to make up for it?
@luckybaby what do you mean?
BC said wl applicants could only submit recent grades as their updates, but mine final exams won’t finish until early July, and the earliest time that we could get our grades for this semester is early Sept, the beginning of next semester. While BC reuqires me to submit it before June 5th. @Dontskipthemoose
@Dontskipthemoose where do you think you’ll go instead?
@SwellyBelly pm’d you
@luckybaby You can call admissions but I don’t think there is much you can do. Also, idk how much it would even help. If they weren’t going to accept you off the waitlist, I’m not sure how much the final grades would help.
My high school admissions counselor called the head of admissions, and the incoming freshman class was over enrolled so there are less spots. To put it in comparison, last year 153 transfer students enrolled, and this year the letters noted that there were only around 75 spots. Also, last year there were less than 10 people taken off of the waitlist. The head of admissions at BC said that if there is waitlist movement, that there will be an extremely low amount of it, and that is after a year where less than 10 people were taken off the waitlist. That being said, I don’t know how many people were offered a waitlist spot for transfers and no one can know how many are going to accept a spot. Sorry to bring bad news to the thread, but this is the reality of those of us on the waitlist.
less than half of last year lol…
Thanks for your info! Best wishes to all of us still on the waitlist. @transferapp1997
