do they consider legacy?
@privatebanker From what source were you able to obtain those statistics? For what its worth, BC definitely isn’t worth attending if you need an academic profile comparable to one which would probably allow you to be admitted to a few Ivies.
I have that academic profile and yet it’s still extremely competitive to try for any of the ivies if you aren’t rich or a legacy or a first generation or some other hook. Now that even schools like BC see this as middle of the pack, I’m officially stressed for the rest of decisions and really hoping its enough to get accepted. @derivativeslover
@Luke123456 If they don’t consider legacy, I am not getting accepted. I am a Latino with legacy status, a 1380 superscore, and a class rank of 7/335.

@college17013 Being accepted at an Ivy or another elite American universities is quite literally more of a crapshoot now than ever. Don’t fret anything. The importance of a college’s level of prestige is overblown in society, never mind on College Confidential.
Go read a book or complete your homework.
I’m a 4th generation legacy an an ivy (1510 sat and 3.98 gpa UW) and was flat out rejected, legacy hook is not so much a thing these days

The link just went up on the BC site in the last few hours to sign up for the Admitted Students day (either April 7 or 14). They just have two more (had one for EA) and they warn that there can be a waiting list. Just an FYI so you don’t delay if admitted. Best of luck everyone!!!
You can sign it up now with Eagle ID. Not sure whether they check with their list of acceptance students.
I don’t think they do check their list with admitted students because I put in a wrong ID on purpose to test it and it didn’t work

@our4kds for EA, decisions were randomly sent out at different times around 5-6PM
In December I received my Early Action decision email at 5:49PM - East Coast if that matters…
My friend also received the email at 5:49 PM (we’re in MA) and was deferred, while another friend got an email at around 6:00 PM and was accepted
