UF isn’t a lottery, but holistic admissions can make it appear a bit random. UF had a 48.7% admit rate , for in-state students, in 2014. Like any holistic admissions, the better your stats, the better your chances. Your stats make UF a match, but it’s not a sure thing.

Would you still be paying $20,000 even with a Bright Futures grant (or maybe you don’t know yet)? UF is a top school. Not sure I’d turn that down for BC unless the cost for everything was comparable.
