Hi Everyone! I am a sophomore and going to be a transfer student for the spring 2019 semester. Currently, I’m deciding between BC, BU, Brandeis, and Northeastern. I’m studying neuroscience and psychology, and I’m looking to pursue graduate school for counseling psychology. I’m hoping to get involved in research, and I am planning to study abroad next year. I would like to have a lot of options for different types of classes in the psychology and neuroscience departments. The school community matters to me a lot, because I want to be with other academically focused students and not at a party school. If anyone has experiences with one or more of these schools I’d love to hear about them! Also, if there is any input on which schools may have better psychology and neuroscience departments, and if any schools are better for preparing me for graduate school/ good career departments. Any information about these schools would be super helpful!
I’d say you probably want Brandeis or BU. Northeastern has a more professional focus than you may want, especially with co-op, and BC is probably the biggest party school list here though not insanely so. When you say “community”, Brandies comes to mind first for me by a mile. BU/Northeastern are city schools that integrate their culture with the city while Brandies has culture much more focused around the campus.
Academically you should have very good experiences at all of these as far as I’m aware, and there won’t be any big difference in prestige/reputation.

Don’t forget to check how credits transfer specifically at each!
Hope that helps!
Thanks so much for your help!
