It is time to decide if we are sending my daughter to Boston Conservatory for musical theater and I need to know what the graduates have experienced career wise and if it was worth the tuition. She has been accepted to other schools that are at least $20,000 cheaper, but is the experience and training that much more superior at BOCO? Are the connections helpful after graduation? I see so many who post that their children went there, but never what their children are doing now. Help!

Sorry just saw this. Daughter is making a lot of $$$$ teaching piano, voice and MT while pursuing the dream everyday. Lots of big auditions and call backs in theater (just was in front of Jerry Mitchell), building her reputation with all the big casting people (first name recognition basis) and working with the creative team of Wicked (they call it Wicked Boot Camp). Performed a few times at 54 below and has had several voice over radio commericals.
Not s question of if but more when (according to agents, casting people, etc). Like everyone else - need to find the right role at the right time!!!

I know this thread is from last year…but just wondering if anyone else has any input??
Hi @DVCmember BoCo is a great program. It has rigorous professional training (with a degree) and fantastic industry networking opportunities. All of my peers who attended BoCo emerged disciplined and skilled in being a professional actor/dancer/performer, and are working full-time.
Wondering if the networking opportunities are as good for NYC as they are for New England area theaters at BOCO? Also wondering what connections the students make with NYC casting directors ?
