Oh man, I’m beyond nervous, I’m an international student (13 hours ahead of Boston) and don’t know if I should wait up until 3am my time for their results, at 2pm their time!
My financial aid page was just updated!!
Okay… here’s a very real question, it may seem silly, but I’ve never had the chance to ask (it might be more appropriate for a more general forum but I hope you guys won’t mind too much, since I’m BU ED too.) Basically, does need-based financial aid make a difference at all whatsoever? For example, if there was a student who needed a significant amount of financial aid versus a student with slightly worse scores who could pay the entire 4 years without any aid, would they drift towards the student with the lesser scores? I guess my question is: does being able to pay the tuition for all four years make any difference at all? (And I’m not asking this about myself, just about BU admissions in general and to understand their thought process + competition.) What do you guys think?

@yungrosie17 it does make a difference, because they cant pay for a ton of people. if it’s between two people, they would be more likely to pick the one that can pay more.
BU is need aware in admissions and they do not promise to meet full need.
@buplzgodhelp will do luckily it is a holiday in my country so I do not have to worry about school tomorrow. 3am it is I guess

@yungrosie Applicants with less than stellar stats but low EFC may be denied but someone with same lower stats and full pay may be accepted.
BU may not be affordable even if admitted.
