Boston University - Early Decision

Hello!

I am a high school senior living in the Philippines.

I wanted to know if one will have a higher chance of being accepted into Boston University if they choose the Early Decision option. The school counselor recommends I apply with this so I have a better likelihood of getting accepted; however, I am reluctant about going with this because my dream school is the University of Southern California. If I get accepted into Boston University with Early Decision, I understand that you MUST enroll?

I am not sure what to do because I am not in the position to be so choosy. I do not have excellent grades, and should be happy that there’s an option that offers a higher chance of acceptance. Is it true that applying through ED gives you a better chance of acceptance at BU?

I was in the same position as you before! like exactly haha cause my top choice was USC however they don’t have early decision. But for me I have wanted to go to Boston university for a longggg time now and I just knew that BU was a place for me, so really think whether you want to go to there because I really do love BU but USC is just a school that is a “higher rank” but it’s very complicated haha but one day I then decided that I’m going to apply to BU because it was a good fit for me.
