Boston University Transfer Fall 2022

yeah! i do that too I always look at old forums GPAs to give myself hope lol. A lot of people seem to believe anything over a 3.3 is safe but idk… Honestly it’s all super objective and I think you said something ab lower grades bc of mental health issues and I related to that so much

yea but if I get into BU i might just withdraw my NEU app

BC also only guarantees 1 year of housing for transfers so idk

I’m currently a freshman, but my first semester gpa was a 4.0 (im hoping for the same after this semester but who knows) but i should have about 49 credits after this semester if im counting right

i think they send out the decisions so late so they can see how many people declined their acceptance from freshman pool to see who they can offer for transfer but im not too sure, but yeah housing is not too pretty looking

I’ll have completed 48 quarter credits as a first year with 63 AP quarter credits. Right now I have junior status at my current school even though I’ve only been there fora year but my GPA is sadly a 3.6

wait what are your majors ?

bio but i applied philosophy cuz i hated being a STEM major

That’s true but idk how possible it is to find other housing in Boston that close to when you would have to move in. I have friends looking for apartments in Boston for next school year right now

Im a poli sci major w a global studies minor I also have a 3.5 so idk abt my odds :sob:

I have a combined politics philosophy and econ major but I applied as political science (honestly who knows how long that will last though, I’ll probably change it once I get to a new school)

I’m definitely nervous about BU because my GPA is the weakest part of my application in my opinion 3.6  (most recent semester was a 4.0) but I have two literary publications, VP of my schools honors society, part time job, lots of volunteering hours and lots of demonstrated interest. I might potentially have a internship at a lab this summer that I’ll update them on if I get that I have my interview Monday!
