I heard that Bowdoin doesn’t require you to send in your SAT or ACT scores. Is this true? My tests scores aren’t so great, but the rest of my application looks good. The only promblem is I’m applying to other colleges using the common app, so Bowdoin will see my test scores. Is there a way I could apply to Bowdoin and have them not see my test scores while still applying to my other colleges using the common app?

While I’m sending my test scores to Bowdoin, I did not put any scores on my Common App at all. Every score I sent, I sent from actstudent.org or collegeboard.org. That way, I could decide what score to send to what school. Plus, scores sent by the testing agencies are generally seen as the legit ones rather than self-reported on the Common App.

You can fill out a second version of the common app for Bowdoin where you do not fill out the scores
