Bowdoin for pre-vet?

I realize Bowdoin does not have an animal science or similar major, but they do have a very strong biology program. Are their pre health advisers, research opportunities, etc comparable or better than that of a state school with an animal science program as far as getting into vet school?
My main objective when I go to college is to get into vet school, as veterinary medicine is my passion, and I want to go wherever (in new england) that will help take me there. I’m looking at UVM and other state schools for pre vet, but I would like to consider some LACs.

Is Bowdoin known for a strong placement in veterinary schools? I know they say they have an 90% acceptance rate to vet schools, but those statistics could be from a handful of students, instead of a realistic number.

Thanks!

I would be really shocked if anyone on CC knows enough about Bowdoin pre-vet students to answer your question.

I suspect a handful of students IS a realistic number.

No, no, I meant a realistic number statistic wise. It’s one thing to say that 80% of students for into vet school if 8/10 got in that applied, but it’s another to say that you have have a 100% success rate if you only have 1 student applying and getting in each year.
