Bowdoin vs Northwestern vs UCB

If i wanted to get a job in finance, a high paying one, which would be th ebest place to do it ?

I got into the bove 3 schools. Which would be the best for getting such jobs ? i don't really want to go to the west coast so i probably wouldn't attend ucb. bowdoin's frequently highering companies include most of the top ibanks and consulting firms. Is that true or will northwestern be better ?

I'll probably be majoring in econ/IR along with math.

Northwestern for sure. If you are looking to work in the US. Then Northwestern>>Bowdoin>>>>>UBC.

I am pretty sure he means UC Berkeley.

Northwestern >= Cal >>>>>> Bowdoin

bearcats where do you get your information to say that? the schools are roughly equivalent in student quality and prestige, the one exception being bowdoin has far fewer students and of those only a small proportion compete for IB and finance jobs.

Just based on what I see. There were around 5 each from NW and Cal at my BB’s front office summer analyst class last summer (including regional offices). There was 0 from bowdoin.

This summer I will be at another BB. Based on the profiles I see on the intern portal, there were again 5 or so kids from NW and Cal and 0 kids from bowdoin.

Especially if you’re not looking to work on the WC, NWU is, to me, an easy choice here.

I agree with bearcats. Northwestern>UCB>>>Bowdoin

I see a decent number of people heading for the NYC office from NU, as opposed to Cal (or even Haas) which sends a lot of their grads to the SF/LA offices. I have yet to meet anyone in banking from Bowdoin… but that might just be me…
