Hi! I'm trying to decide whether to decide between applying to Wesleyan early decision or Bowdoin. I love the close knit community, area, and focus on common good at Bowdoin and the focus on writing, art, and laid back feeling of Wesleyan, plus the innovative classes. I am interested in studying English, creative writing, and language.
What are the pros and cons of these schools, which would you choose?
Thanks!

Both great, but “vibe” is pretty different. B is more jock-ish, WASPy, preppy, and W is more hipster, indie, “progressive.” Of course these are differences of degree, not black-and-white, but, for example, W kids can (and do) get to NYC with some frequency and several famous indie bands have come out of Wes.
