BRADLEY GINSBURG Thread (new title; merged threads)

Rescue Workers Recover Body of Cornell Student from Fall Creek Gorge | The Cornell Daily Sun

I found out from my brother who attends Cornell. This must be devastating for his friends and family. RIP Brad Ginsburg

Truly Sad.

Don’t know you but RIP.

this one this morning really struck me. i was was going to class and saw all of the emergency services vehicles blocking off thurston bridge- i cross it just about every day to get to school and had always associated it with being a beautiful place.

i’ve had rough times here but i never thought about this type of thing as a way out. maybe i wasn’t in as much pain. what is going on these days? a kid at the university of buffalo attempted to get into the library with a gun the other day and now this? does the world really need to rethink itself this much?

No! the world doesn’t. It’s just an unfortunate chain of events that i truly hope everyone will overcome. Things like this happen in life and although it might seem as if it’s of greater concentration in one’s life, it isn’t. Just try your best to stay strong and don’t forget the most imp people in your life.

My son is a freshman and called me a few hours ago to talk about this. It has hit him very hard as well. There have been a number of sad deaths since school started this year but this one has tugged at his (and my) heart in a deeper way. The Thurston Ave. bridge is such a major part of every freshman’s daily life.

I send my deepest condolences to Brad’s family and friends.

this happens pretty often i think. i think every year at least one kid end up dead below one of the bridges… I think last year some drunk guy fell and died…

Keep in mind that no cause of death has been announced yet, so don’t put the cart before the horse.

The key is to continue to reach out to your friends, professors, and staff, and to engage them with life and the joys of living. Surround yourself with those with similar values and the live the life you want to live. This is true at all times, not just at times like this.

rip brad. it is always really devastating when we lose someone from the cornell community.

I was so sad to hear this news, and would like to send my deepest condolences to Brad’s family and friends. There are no words to ease your pain during this terrible time. I am thinking of everyone at Cornell right now…because this news really hits the heart of everyone on the campus.

Just heard about this death today from my friend. I feel terrible for this kid. It must be so terrible for his parents and families. My heart and prayer goes out to his beloved ones.

yea, i kind of assumed he jumped. shouldn’t have done that without knowing the details… i just heard about kids jumping before i even got here so figured it was the same kinda thing. let’s wait to hear what actually transpired.

brad was one of the friendliest, happiest, and most genuine people i’d ever met.

donlon hall and the entire cornell community will miss him.

Yes. Thank you.

Appropriate comments are those in support or memory of Bradley Ginsburg or expressing comfort to his family and friends.

yeah. this has been staying on my mind, which I think is fine. I don’t live on north anymore but obviously I have tons of memories from that area. I was up there yesterday, and when I was on the Thurston Ave bridge I passed people laughing and chatting and it all seemed so normal.
I’m still thinking very much of all those who knew Brad.

i knew brad personally and it truly is a great loss.
