@stressDad Did your daughter create a SAGE account? Her financial aid award would be in there.
We did receive a complete fin. aid statement in the USPS regular mail. It came about one week after the first main acceptance envelope, and the fin. aid statement was also in a large envelope (like 9 by 12 in.). So Iâm thinking some of your mail got lost, stressDad. (And, the fin. aid envelope didnât appear to be only for ppl who received need-based aid, as we didnât actually get that kind ⊠well maybe there was a loan offer.) Anyhow, the timing of receipt for fin. aid paper statement was similar to that which received from other colleges.
Ours also came via USPS a week after acceptances. But you can also check it online.
Yes, we checked online (she has an account), and - nothing. Not a peep. She got financial aid award letters - both online and in the mail from 3 other schools, between 2-3 weeks ago. Nothing from Brandeis. Not in the mail, and not online. Time to call them tomorrowâŠand vent.
have a classmate who got GOOD fin. aid here (and also seems middle class) but I think the difference was that this student has a college-aged sibling ⊠so the expense of paying for two instead of one (tuitions) was taken into account I guess in the CSS â wonât cost them any more than their in-state Univ of __ option, or so it seems, to attend Brandeis. So yeah, this uni does offer good fin. aid in some circumstances.
Hi everyone! I was accepted into Brandeis, and was weightlisted for the QBReC Fellowship program. Does anyone here share my experience, or know anything about the Fellowship Program that would be helpful to share?
I am super excited about visiting the campus next week, and am planning on matriculating soon.
@jellyjamjan From what I can dig up online, QBReC looks to be limited to 18 freshmen. It seems like a great program, if you can get in - my DD is also waitlisted for it. Weâll be in town for ASD weekend to experience Brandeis in person before she makes her final decision (sheâs narrowed her choices down to three schools).
@saharafrog Wow thatâs quite limited. Thank you so much for the info! I still havenât officially accepted yet, because my parents want me to visit the campus first. But I am 98% sure that I will attend Brandeis. Do you think that accepting earlier might help at all with getting into the Fellowship? Anyways, Iâll be attending the ASD weekend as well! Hope itâll be an amazing trip for the both of us!
Itâs possible accepting earlier could help with coming off the QBReC wait list, but I have zero insight into QBReC and how they determine who comes off the wait list - anything I say is purely speculation. If they were trying to fill the spots while minimizing students who turn them down, certainly choosing from among those who have deposited would be one way of doing that. They may also look positively upon those who come to ASD.
Best of luck. Brandeis seems like a wonderful university - weâll see if it âclicksâ with my DD this weekend.
Totally crashing this thread, but from one Brandeisian (Class of 2020) to a bunch of future Judges, WELCOME TO THE JURY!!
Has anyone heard back from the waitlist?
not yet, but they should release the decisions soon
Like very soon or? Cannot wait anymoreâŠ
Anyone hear anything about waitlist yet?
Anyone receive decisions from the waitlist by now? I havenât received anything yet, but last year some decisions were released on may 3rd. What happened this yearâŠ
If anyone know anything about the waitlist, please post on the cc. I really really want to receive some good news about my waitlist soon.
Anyone? What is going on with the waitlist this year?
Still no⊠whatâs going on this year? Anyone ask the admission officeïŒ
I asked them 4 days ago, and still no answerâŠ
My friend asked it on Facebook and they reply that the admission would review the waitlist on a rolling basis and begin notifying students who have been accepted off the waitlist this month. But nearly half month passed, no answer at allâŠSo confusing. OMG.
