Brandeis or BU? International Relations Major

I need to decide between Brandeis and Boston University, and am having a pretty hard time.

Brandeis is giving me a full ride and BU is giving a hefty amount of financial aid, but still not quite enough. I’m banking on getting a few scholarships, but will have to pay a good amount out of pocket too

Which school is better for international relations? I plan on having a Latin American focus, and want to study abroad in Argentina and perhaps get an internship for a semester in DC.

I’ve heard that Brandeis has a pretty mediocre social scene, whereas it’s easy to fall between the cracks at BU, where there are so many more students. I can’t visit either school.

Any advice? Thank you so much in advance! Also posting in the Brandeis forum.

Honestly? I would go with the full ride. I know that’s not entirely helpful, but 30-something-year-old you will thank 18-year-old you for taking on the least amount of debt. Brandeis is such a good school, even if the social scene is a bit drab, in terms of your education, you’re bound to come out ahead. BU is awesome too (I loved it!), but you won’t regret having less debt. For me, BU offered the most money, and I don’t regret one bit not going to my other schools that offered less.
