*** Brandeis University 2022 RD Discussion ***

accepted with a 1410 sat and 3.81 UW GPA

Accepted! 1520 ACT, 3.65 UW GPA, business major. after a week of waitlists and rejects, this is so nice!

My D was offered midyear admission. What is your opinion on this?

Hey everyone! I got waitlisted and Brandeis is my number one choice. If any of you know for sure that you aren’t going to Brandeis please help a kid out here D: congrats to all who got accepted! And waitlisted, the wait is long for us sadly haha :frowning: and hang in there if rejected, don’t worry your dream/perfect school is waiting for you.

i was also offered Midyear @hockeymom123

@hockeymom123 and @missblyn, I’m a parent of a class of 2015 and class of 2022 Brandesian and I know several people who went in as midyears. They had a great first semester being productive and at least one of them went on a Brandeis-sponsored semester abroad. Brandeis makes a special welcome to midyears and they become a cohesive group, which is nice. The ones I know all graduated within 4 years due to various factors including course credit during that first semester before matriculating. One great thing is that the midyears get to stay in really nice dorms during spring semester of freshman year, that the juniors going abroad have vacated, so that’s sweet. Congratulations on your acceptance to Brandeis.

My D also loved the confetti!

Accepted!
31 ACT 1440 SAT 4.8 GPA

.

I called financial aid and they said the packages are coming by mail. We logged onto Sage and there is no info there yet. Good luck to everyone.

@astute12 I called financial aid and you find out about the LBF when the packet comes in the mail.

I was accepted as a midyear, too. Brandeis was my absolute top choice, but I still have other schools to hear from, and am currently weighing the pros and cons. Unsure what to do and would love to hear from other people in the same situation!

@SuzeViolin thanks for the info! for the Brandeis-sponsored semester abroad… do you know how much it costs? thanks!!

My S is midyear acceptance as well. Is this ever negotiable to change to Fall? Or do they ever treat it like a waitlist?

My son is accepted as a midyear as well. We are international from China. What are you going to do for other midyears? Any helpful hints?

Hi everyone, I’m currently a sophomore at Brandeis and absolutely love it! Feel free to let me know if anyone has any questions about anything on campus. I’ve seen lots of people asking about financial aid. I remember when I was accepted I received my official acceptance letter in the mail a few days after and my merit scholarship was included there. Financial aid was received in the mail about a week or so after that!

@adsaventura Thank you. Did your acceptance letter reference anything about or specific to award of Merit/Scholarship? Or is it completely unknown until you get your hard copy letter?

@LD3790 The acceptance letter online (which was sent out yesterday) does not mention anything about aid. The hardcopy which arrived in the mail a few days later told me I had received a merit scholarship (which one and the award amount). If you do not receive any notice about merit aid when you received the hardcopy acceptance letter in the mail it is because no merit aid was awarded to you.

@Terriermom8 Thank you! I was too worn out from this week to attempt a call! lol

@adsaventura THANK YOU, very helpful
