Breaking the 650's range for Sat Chemistry and tips on sat biology

So, i got my results for the subject test for chem and i got a 650 first time, i was really disappointed as i thought the test was easy and i could have gotten a 700, i just took a practice test now and I got a 640. Can anyone please tell me how to break over that score like i wanna go up 100 points. I’ve been studying barron’s, writing down notes and memorizing. And for the sat biology, it’s going to be my first time taking it, any tips? Currently I am studying it from Barron’s and memorizing it.(Barron’s is everything lol) Again any tips for both will be tremendously helpful.

What types of questions do you get wrong?

@1gollfer1 i mostly get those lab questions wrong ex: they give you a set up and also on thermochemistry about the heat change.

Hey there. I took SAT chemistry in Jan this year and scored an 800. I thought the actual test was easy. For content review, I just used Barron. Taking notes and memorizing tons of facts about chemical substances are important, but also remember to do lots of practice, and learn how to apply your knowledge to solving the problems. If you mostly get lab questions wrong, then get yourself more lab practice questions. Also, Barron’s chemistry practice tests are a bit more difficult than the actual test, so don’t take your practice test results too literally. If you can get 720 or so on the Barron practice tests, I think it’s safe to say you can expect a 750 on the actual test. Don’t forget to take full advantage of the big blue book (official guide) practice test (it’s realistic). If you go over Barron’s carefully, you’ll find the blue book easy (I did the blue book practice test right before the test, and didn’t miss any question, which was a huge boost to my self-confidence lolol).

I’m also taking biology (in June), and I get mostly 760-790 on practice tests so I’m pretty confident about it. A friendly reminder: Barron’s isn’t everything for biology, although it covers a wide range of topics. Princeton Review’s review chapters actually goes deeper on some of the topics and introduces more terminology, and usually explains stuff in a clearer way. But PR provides awful practice tests because the answer choices are ambiguous and explanations are occasionally incorrect. Barron’s has fairly good practice tests. Haven’t done the blue book biology test, so I won’t comment on that. Also, study taxonomy, animal physiology, and plant structures in detail. Although it seems that these topics don’t appear on SAT bio very often, it’s always a disaster if they do.

@AmericanGothic thank you so much, by reading that you like eased my stress a bit, and true but with the bio, I feel kind of confident as my school gave us an intense bio lecture/lab and damn an 800 on chem?! Good Job

sorry guys if iam out of the topic but can you post a link for practice tests for biology < i studied barron`s , but i still need more questions to practice
