From what I understand, Bright Futures is based on a credit hour amount. So if a have credit hours left over when I graduate, do I get the extra money? Also, what is the average cost of a summer term?

I don’t think it’s possible to have left over credit hours? Based on what classes you pick each year, and how many credits you’re taking, that’s how much money they will give you. There is no way to get extra money from Bright Future’s seeing as how it doesn’t even cover 100% anymore. However, once everything has been paid off (tuition, housing, etc), if you have left over money (scholarships, grants, loans, etc), that will be disbursed to you.

As far as summer goes, it differs per school. I know at UF, it’s about $5000. Do some research, this stuff is usually on school websites.
