PNW spring hits earlier than in the Great Lakes region, too. I don’t miss the long, dark days of winter in Bellingham, I’ll take 20-and-sunny in Chicago over that. But, I am always so jealous come late February when my aunt in Portland is posting pictures of her garden blooming already and we have 2-3 more months before things pop up here!

If it’s any consolation sunset stays about the same time until July 4 or a little later and the real movement is in when sunrise occurs. I am not a morning person, but relish the daylight and longer afternoons/evenings. Where I am sunset is 8:35 on June 21 and then moves later to 8:36 on June 24-July 3 and is still 8:35 on July 8th. But sunrise is 5:59am on June 21 vs 6:06 on July 8th.
So you’ve most likely still got a few late evenings to enjoy!
