Brooklyn/NYC Trip - Food/Activities/See's and Do's

noon on a Sunday

Shouldn’t be much in the way of traffic problems at that time. By car service, Park Slope is about half an hour or so from LaGuardia.

Returned from trip report!

We had a BUSY awesome trip! Thanks to everyone for suggestions and tips.

Walked 70+ miles in our basically 5 full days. Weather was IDEAL. Sunday arrival day was hot but then all week, upper 60’s-lower 70’s and sun. So lucky!

Summary of activities:
Multiple walks in Prospect Park along with a run so I could add New York to my state list of states I’ve run in.

Brooklyn Botanical Gardens

Central Park

Jean Michel Basquiat exhibit in Chelsea

Lunch from Chelsea Market

High Line

West Village and Hudson River Park

MULTIPLE bakeries including the original Magnolia Bakery, Levain Bakery, Winner in Brooklyn and several Park Slope coffee/pastry shops.

Broadway - Company (had to walk through Times Square to get to the theater - lol, no thanks don’t need to do that again!)

Neighborhood explore in Carroll Gardens and Cobble Hill

Several thrift shops including a couple Housing Works locations

Yummy food with favorites in Brooklyn: Wangs Korean Wings, appetizers from Pasta Louise, Oh, Dumplings in Carroll Gardens.

Plus 2 dinners at my brothers with his family in Park Slope and a Survivor watch party complete with buffs with my nephew a super fan!

We had a wonderful time. Plenty to go back for though! Masking was pretty good except for Times Square which felt like a Covid hotbed.

And our Airbnb was a great location and would highly recommend!
