I think they’re making decisions at least until the week of Ivy Day; they will take the time they have, and Brown this year particularly has an absurd number of applicants.
Super late but accepted to SUNY Binghamton, Geneseo, and Stony Brook, Stonehill, BU, and NEU.
Waiting is making me crazy!
I legit remember making my countdown and seeing more than 120 days. I almost started crying because I didn’t think I could handle the wait. But now here I am. I guess time does fly by. Still not fast enough tho!
Accepted to Kenyon.
Also several good schools in my home state with highest merit aid. Thinking I should have applied to UPenn and Dartmouth and Cornell but Brown visit really made an impression on me. I guess I didn’t want to make the effort to apply to places I knew I wouldn’t go to for sure.
Editing this to give the full list. I’ve been accepted at The Ohio State University, VCU (in state), UC San Diego, UCLA, Lake Forest College, CCC, and DePaul. Rejected by Northwestern ED for SoC. Waiting on UW Seattle, UWMadison, Tulane, Brown, and UVA. Really wasn’t expecting to get into UCLA, so I’m hoping that means something regarding Brown (ie I have a chance)… My interview went very well for Brown and I have a really interesting set of essays. So we’ll see. Only ten days to go now…
@asavenko There’s no one here who can directly comment on the correlation, but an acceptance at one selective school is not a bad sign for an acceptance at another.
@whitespace deep down i know there will be no answers until the 31st, but I can’t stop looking for them! i did get my letter of admission from University of Washington @ Seattle today though
@schroscat When did you apply to SUNY Bing? I applied Jan 1st but I haven’t heard back yet and some people who applied on the deadline(Jan 15th) have already received rejections like a month ago. I called the admissions office many times and they always say they are making decisions randomly and to continuously check my portal. even though Bing is a rolling decisions school and they should have made my decision first. I don’t get their ways…
@harvard2020babe I applied right before Jan 1(Mid December), and I heard mid-January. I know of people who still haven’t heard back yet. Hang in there!
@schroscat is this a coincidence or what. I just got an email on my Bing status update on my decision. Got accepted
@harvard2020babe That’s awesome! Congrats!
@schroscat Thanks! I didn’t think I’d be accepted because it’s been so long.
@harvard2020babe No problem! You should be proud; admissions was really tough this year!
Waitlisted again, now at the University of Richmond. I’ve lost all hope.
Gotta keep up the optimism. What one school doesn’t have a spot for another might desperately need.
Late to the party but accepted to Cornell (LL), Notre Dame, and Duke (LL). Rejected by Stanford SCEA because I didn’t cure cancer or solve world hunger.
@TheDeutschlander2222 I know how you feel, but don’t lose hope. After being rejected by Stanford, I started doubting my prospects everywhere. My twin sis was getting into places like MIT, Vanderbilt, Georgetown, UVA, etc. and there I was, unable to get word back from anywhere…and then I got accepted into 3 schools last week. I’m sure a great school will see the potential in you that Richmond couldn’t. All you have to do is wait.
This is going to sound ridiculous but does anyone else who got likely letters to any college worry that come decision day, they’ll get rejected and find out the LL was a mistake? (This is what happens when I stay up late doing calculus homework)
Calculus ruins lives.
True that, @schroscat. True that.
