@seveneleven29 I think it’s problematic to try and analyze Questbridge finalists’ results, as they are judged slightly differently than people in the regular applicant pool. By nature, most QB finalists are minorities who didn’t have access to resources that enabled them to get “perfect” scores/grades, so therefore, that isn’t held against them.
I think my hook was my Why Brown Supplement, which talked about how inclusive Brown was. I did it in a very playful way which I think they will appreciate. I include some humor, but then show that I can be serious. My numbers are average for Brown (4.38 weighted) and 2270 superscored SAT, so I think it comes down to whether or not they are lacking someone in their applicant pool like me (my ethnicity, ECs, major, etc)
Of course but they are still brown students. I don’t think they would be accepted just for the hell of it they’ve shown that they would prevail in its environment.
Did anyone see the course link before now? I noticed it about a week ago.
The fin aid page hasn’t been updated for awhile. Other school portals updated until day decisions came out. Wondering if they quit working on fin aid once admissions gives list of accepted students. :-S
Something good(?) is that I talked about cross-registration with RISD and being able to exercise my intellect and skills specifically at brown
I’m definitely not going to be able to concentrate at school tomorrow–my mind will only be on the decisions… :-&
God help us all.
So when I go to the courses page I can sign in but the other people like you took these courses thing isnt showing up. I have a “Have you considered these” section though
@Rafalala Where will I be? Probably trying to deal with migraines and the urge to puke during school.
Hey, when you guys select “Courses In My Concentration” does an error message pop-up saying “User does not have approved declaration in ASK” ?
@mg29409 yup
This is really random but my brother went to Brown (2014 graduate) and said that in his physical acceptance letter (ED) they listed the specific reasons he was accepted. And they were personal to him. Do you think they still do that? I’d love to know my reasons (LL recipient)
Could an LL recipient verify the courses thing? Can you register and select courses in your concentration?
Can anyone share if they have a “have you considered” section instead of a “others like you took…” section on their courses portal thing
@VaishS I’ll check – what do you want me to do?
@VaishS I have a “have you considered” section
I just checked my portal and I guess I do have the course selection page.
I have a section on the Courses at Brown page that says “Have You Considered?” with 6 classes below.
I have the “have you considered” section, but I do NOT have “courses students like you have taken”. Also still stressed on how I don’t have the other links including the chem exam and photo ID upload, I can’t think of why some would have that and some wouldn’t besides it being indicative of acceptances
This has been said before, but lets stop speculating and worrying about the portal. I know it can help pass the time, but there’s one more day of waiting left. Let’s just relax. Whatever will be, will be.
@stressedblessed Feeling the same way – just sort of accepting a rejection at this point.
