For Amherst, at least, there was a financial aid glitch on the portal before decisions were out. Those who had their FA info approved were accepted, and vice versa. Don’t think Brown would do such a thing. Can decisions just come out now…please?? I’m so impatient. :((
Guys, I have a good feeling about Ivy Day - whether it’s a complete bust or not, I know I’ll definitely be going places. Remember that! You’re all amazing candidates and already have so much experience under your belts in both life and education. Continue to be bright always. I’ve been following along with the thread, but haven’t posted much as to not raise my own stress.
@tuty143 what did your brother’s say because I never heard of them listing specific reasons. They try to stay somewhat elusive to still have many people apply I guess.
When I click courses in my concentration, it says I don’t have the ASK approval declaration. When I click have you considered, it lists like 200 courses. Is this true for everyone?
@RightHand That shows a section called “Students Who Took This Course Also Took”. Earlier in this thread I thought people had said they had a section named something similar to “Students Like You Took” which showed courses that may have aligned with what the student indicated their interests to be on their application.
When I go to the financial aid page now there’s an option that says “upload financial aid documents,” not sure if it was there before. Can anyone verify?
I know this conversation came up a while ago (to which I snakily replied "whatever order the emails come in) but in the event that Ivies/other March 31 colleges don’t send any reminder emails right at 5pm EST tomorrow, what order are you gonna check your portals?
@seveneleven29 They named a specific club that he founded during his time in high school and mentioned parts specifically within his essay that would otherwise be hard to remain “general.” I found it really peculiar but maybe it is common for ED (or used to be)
