Can anyone tell me about the neuroscience program/department that’s offered at Brown University? How good is it, or what are some details about it? I looked on their website, but I want to hear some more in depth about it.
It’s one of the best undergraduate neuro departments in the country.
It’s arguably the best in the country. It’s more geared towards towards biology than psychology, but as with any brown department, you have the flexibility to tailor it to your interests (and there’s also cognitive neuroscience department)
You take neuroscience 1 generally first semester, which is not the case in all neuroscience programs. It’s one of the most popular concentrations. There are a lot of opportunities for research. If you’re interested in neuroscience, Brown is a fantastic choice. I transferred to Brown specifically for that program, however, ended up in a different course of study due to some complicated temporary circumstances. I wish I could do RUE and go back to study in that program!
Other good options are JHU and Pomona.
