I was recently accepted to both Brown and CMC as a transfer student for this coming semester. Obviously, I am running out of time to make my decision--which has proven to be quite a challenging one. Both these schools are fantastic for different reasons and I am completely torn. I plan on studying environmental studies and psychology, I'm from the east coast and I'm a relatively laid back person. Can anyone who knows both schools give me some insight?

Since you said you’re a laid back person you may like the atmosphere of CMC/Claremont more than the atmosphere of an Ivy League. Just my opinion.

Is there an advantage to either college from a cost perspective? They are both great options so cost may be a factor.

I’ve heard Brown is veryyyyy laid back and chill (but of course that is compared to other ivys).

I generally tend to think the type of person looking at CMC would generally not be interested in schools like Brown, and vise versa. I associate the Brown student with one who would find themselves pore interested in schools like Pitzer and Pomona. With all that said, which school would you have the most regrets about if you don’t attend?

I think if your major was something that CMC is strongest in(econ, political science, etc) I could better understand why’d you have a difficult time making a choice. That or if you identify with the “type” of student that attends CMC.
