Brown RD chances

<p>hey u guys
i’m doing RD for Brown and I really want to know if I have a chance or not
thanks!</p>

SAT IIs: math IIc 760 chem 750 Lit in nov.
national merit commended, AP scholar</p>

<p>APs: U.S. Chem Calc BC/AB Euro all 5’s
senior year: Bio Physics English Spanish HumanGeo
interested in double majoring in flute performance and either chem. or history</p>

<p>activities:I’m really involved with flute- played in diff. regional orchestras, some flute awards, good music camps, district and state band/orch. partcipation (1st chair in district), and principal flute in my city orchestra
i’m sending in a cd</p>

<p>-the usual clubs… (speech, Amnesty Int., school lit. mag.)
-started a new club for people potentially interested in medicine/health care
-a good amount of volunteer hours
-usual nerdy stuff: some math team/science olympiad awards
-summer internship in hospital

<p>You'll get in barring some admissions clerk spilling coffee on your application. ;) </p>

<p>A lot of wierd things go on in admissions at this level so be sure to do the whole 9 yards with safety schools, etc. The better the record, the more schools you should apply to - oddly enough.</p>

<p>You should know that Brown does not offer a performance music major. You can take a major in Theory and Composition, for example, and then participate in the Applied Music Program (music lessons), as well as play in various Brown musical ensembles, but your degree won't technically be in flute performance.</p>
