Brown University Fall 2021 Transfer Thread

0.7% is the percent of people committing to Brown out of all the people who applied maybe. But the acceptance rate should be a bit higher than that. Thy probably accepted 30-40 students and expected a 20-25 student yield. So the acceptance rate is between 1.1%~1.5%, which is arguably still low compared to previous years, but not that low if compared to other schools this year.

Plus, with the consideration that many people applied to HYPSM this year, we have no idea how the yield rate is going to fluctuate this year. So I’d say Brown is very possibly going to use their waitlist this year.

Don’t lose hope for those of you on the waitlist!

I know one person who got in who is probably not committing (due to financial aid reasons) and multiple who are on the fence so yes definitely the waitlist is gonna be used! Best of luck and hope that you get in

if you’re admitted for spring 2022 is there still a study abroad option for fall semester? If so does anyone know where you can study abroad?

Don’t know if they’re doing it this year but in prior years I believe it was Spain and Ireland.
