Hola!!!
I was wondering if I could get some views on some of the details that put brown over dartmouth…I don’t mean this to start a fight…it’s just that i didn’t get to visit any of the schools and I was wondering if those that have and those who go there can give me some insight

i feel as if you should be able to decide between the two. they are very different schools.

What sort of location do you want? Do you like Brown's open curriculum? Think about their campus environments. Did you visit both schools? Any particular programs you're into? Nobody can help much without knowing more about you.

Haha, I could decide between the two and it took me FOREVER to make a decision. I went on a whim. They are more similar than what first meets the eye.

Look at the Brown vs Green thread, disregard all the bashing of each school, but look at the good info that some people posted.

I think they are very similar. Rabokarabekian has a good suggestion, just don't be swayed by all the bashing. Are you more interested in the D-plan or the open curriculum? What are your interests? etc.

I think cool, open minded, free spirited types are drawn to both places.

Dartmouth, to me, seemed MUCH more focused on preprofessionalism. Also, the D-plan works best if you have a really good idea what you want to do, since you need to plan several semesters ahead. This could be good or bad depending on where you are right now with those types of decisions.

Thanl you all for your imput...I have a vast array of differing interests...I love to dance & have done so for 12 years, so a good theater or dance program would really interst me. Also, I am interestind in political science...i'm not sure about where to take that major either...i really want to go to a school where i know that i can try new things and be accepted...it's just hard because i cannot see either for myself...again, thanks to all who have and probably will reply to my post!!!
