Hi everyone. I'm a Canadian senior at a pretty decent school, and like you all, I am going through the rigmarole of college admissions.

Right now, I've decided on teacher recs, gotten to know my counselor pretty well, and have worked a lot on my essay. My biggest problem, therefore, is picking a school in which I can excel. I have not really decided on a future career path, but I think I will do something arts related like international relations, and maybe do premed prerequisites on the side. I have narrowed down the schools I like and will ED to to two (I don't think I've ever written so many '2' sounds in a row before): Brown and Dartmouth.

At Brown, I see the freedom to embark on intellectual exploration, an all-world university experience, and an apparently quite unique, quirky student body that appeals to my somewhat strange personality.

At Dartmouth, I see a beautiful campus, an idyllic locale, and an undergraduate focus that is said to be the most intensive in the Ivy League.

I would almost die of happiness if I were accepted at either institution, and genuinely see myself fulfilled at both. So could anyone please clarify more on the differences and specific character traits at each? Any information is greatly appreciated.

P.S., if it helps, you can look at my stats at my 'chances' thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=395376
